His first position in the financial industry was with Abbey National, which soon after became Santander, his career took him to HSBC, Prudential, Quilter and Corbel Partners before becoming truly independent and by running his own firm within the Corbel Partner infrastructure.
He chose to work within Corbel as they specifically chose not to have any of their own in-house investment solution to maintain their independence and ensure that there is no bias.
Now operating under Blue Moon Wealth, it allows him to set the terms that he believes are fair and offer good value for his clients.
Personally
Outside of work, Chate enjoys spending time with his family, travelling with his wife, watching series on Netflix and following Chelsea and the England football team.
He is also a keen reader and, over the past few years, has enjoyed reading books by James Pattison.
In his youth, he trained in Tae Kwon Do and achieved a 2nd degree black belt and represented England in the first GTF European Tae Kwon Do Championship held in Moscow in 1993 and returned with a silver medal.
